IPOD IDIOT
One of the dangerous things about having all of your music collection on one small machine is that if you lose it the collection is lost - especially if, like me, the music you put on your IPOD is a mix of music on various computers and laptops.
That's what happened to me this morning - a regular monday morning on the bus, trying to play my IPOD but noticed that it was simply forwarding to the next song without playing anything - continuous forwarding!! I re-set the IPOD using the same reset button I have used for the past two and a half years when something iffy went on with the IPOD - safely reset I turned it back on to find that all of my songs were missing - there were literally no songs on my IPOD - that is a desastre!!! going to have to go back and re burn all my cd's and re transfer onto my IPOD!!!! unless anyone can give me a handy idea for a shortcut

You are correct, you are an idiot ( i feel i can say that to you without causing offeence)....the hard drive lesson learned i suggest..i have never had this problem with my Ipod.
I have switched to a Nano, which is more than just a size thing. I kind of got bored with carrying 200 albums around with me, forever deciding what to listen to. So i took my universe of music, tranferred it off my computer onto an external hard drive.
Now with the Nano, i just drag stuff across, and once bored with it, delete, and drag different tunes over.
Otheer advatngae of a Nano..it is Flash based, cannot therefore freeze, is a touch louder, and the music reproduction is a touch better.
Enough from me.

Well the hard drive lesson was learnt, its just a factor of originally havig all my songs on the main computer, which shadi uses for work, and then on my laptop on the failed hard drive (which I did not replace since I had all the music on my ipod) - anyway it is a pain and a lesson on over reliance on gadgetry - I'm thinking its a story of our times.
ipod nerds
although i can't believe you have your own blog site, v. impressed
Prama xx
Sunil - pot kettle....
Sandy - offensive and nerdish - quite a combo
Bob - I am feeling most pained on your behalf.
Prama - cine tonight?
I wonder whether the question to Prama got through? Have to say I'm flattered that this is being used a communication device, as opposed to, say, a phone or email but I am not sure it is the most effective way of doing it.
I presume also that "Sage" is a witty alias for Squedge.
you have your own blog site but can't 'deal' with a basic IPOD? Whatz up UK man? That shit dont happen here. You need to have two IPODs, I would suggest the U2 for long trips and home Bose systems and a Nano for skateboarding around town

Oh no antoher nerd has joined team geek.
Yes Bob it's Squedge!
no---it's just his long lost cousin brother from what you refer to as the 'States' or [cant mention because he who must not be named who lives in a White House] is certainly watching--since he doesn't read.
